The Billanook Primary School project, located in Montrose, Victoria, consists of modernisation works and a two-level learning building containing general learning areas, and STEAM spaces including a food technology space, a science room and an art room. The project was designed for a significantly sloping site on the slopes of Mount Dandenong, with a high-level bushfire attack classification determining that the build had to be bushfire safe. The adjacent gymnasium, and earlier school project, is a Designated Fire Shelter for the local community.
