This strategic project by Baumgart Clark Architects explored the demolition of some not-fit-for-purpose buildings, residential Independent Living Units at the end of their useful life, and replacement with new and efficient Independent Living Units to promote ageing in place.
A Residential Aged Care facility (RAC) with memory care unit lies at the heart of the site. The acquisition of adjacent land and the potential of land swaps with adjoining landowners, to increase efficiency for all parties, was carefully explored, with no firm plan for execution at this time.
