This strategic project, completed for the Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institute, will see the transformation of the entire lake-front site, catalysed around the new Aged Care Facility at the heart of the campus. Baumgart Clark Architects has masterplanned the entire site to create a much more efficient and attractive layout of independent living units (ILUs), prioritising the views of the lake. The yield of ILUS will be increased from the original 82 up to 144 attractive new dwellings. The pedestrian network will be greatly improved and connections to the surrounding neighbourhood given priority to knit the residents into the local community.
